AirPods Pro should have an (optional) iOS setting which not only automatically stops the music, but also switches the AirPods Pro to transparency mode when a call comes in (to hear yourself when speaking). After you end the call, the music starts again and noise cancelling (if activated before) kicks in again.

Small detail, but would be nice very Apple-like.

I’ve found no difference personally, between NC/Transparency when on calls when it comes to my voice. But the person on the other end says NC is better for them, so I don’t mind the current setup.

But what’s been a little annoying whilst in NC mode, is when at gym & with someone wanting to speak to you, I find I need to do two steps to hear them - pause music & turn on Transparency. Sometimes it’s just easier to take one Airpod out, but I want to avoid that.

What I would find handy is a setting where if I paused the music with a certain Airpod, Transparency is automatically switched on. So pausing with the R Airpod retains NC, but pausing with the L AirPod auto-enables Transparency.

But this adds too much complexity so won’t happen. Possibly an Android option.

I swapped my Amazon Echo Buds for APP and found this to be a missing feature. Turning NC on, but still having music playing makes the feature pretty much useless. ?

Personally, I love the Noise Cancelling for listening to music, of course, but find it very difficult to talk on the telephone with it turned on and not hearing my own voice. (Even with "normal" setting on, the sealing still is too much, I turn transparency mode on instead.) Maybe it is just a case of having to get used to it, though, if you just keep it on always.

Didn't know that the two modes make a quality difference for the caller on the other end – interesting.

I like transparency mode when taking calls in the office as it makes it much easier to be mindful of the volume of your own voice. Agree this would be a nice feature as my first action when a call comes in is to quickly squeeze the right stem to switch while hoping not to accidentally answer the call.

Same here! That's why I would really love this feature.
