Looking for hours in the app store, but I didn't find it... hopefully someone could give me a clue.

Every day when I arrive at work, I have to registrate to start my working day. When the working day is over, I have to batch again.
Sometimes I think some registration hours are not correctly registrated, so I want to keep my own.

I'm looking for an app who automatically registrates the time I'm arriving at work and he has to registrate when I'm leaving. It should be GPS based. Does something like that even exist?

Thanks!
Gert

It sounds like what you want is essentially a timecard or timesheet application.

I suggest that you search the app store with those keywords, and take a look at the choices available - there are multiple programs that do this, in different ways. At least one (Geofency) states that it is location based, so may satisfy your desire for GPS ability.

I have no experience with any of these apps, but if you find specific apps that look suitable, then I suggest that you come back here and search the forum for any mentions of those specific apps in previous discussions.

Today some spare hours and time to look into the app store with your tips.
I found two possible apps: StempelUhr and My Better Time.

I will use them both the first days, because I think they do the same.
My Better Time seems to give a message to clock in when I'm arriving at work, StempelUhr should automatically clock in when arriving at work.

I also have to work at clients' homes. In that case StempelUhr will clock out. This is the biggest disadvantage of StempelUhr. But, you can disable this automated rule and clock in using 3D touch or the Apple Watch. When the app doesn't give a message, it's dangerous to forget to clock in manually.

I'm afraid My Better Time will be discontinued in time. The last update was more than a year ago. That app is also missing 3D touch and Apple Watch support, so less user friendly.

I have to decide for myself which of the two I prefer to use....

I'm not 100% certain but i bet there is something you can do with iOS shortcuts that you could do based around geofencing or possibly just starting and stopping it via a complication on your watch and it logs the hours in spreadsheet or something for you. I'm not that good with Shortcuts but i'd be sort of sure it can be done.

**Edit**
IFTTT may be an option as well, found these on there :-

Thanks for the tip, I will certainly read your links when I have some spare time again.
For now I'm 99% sure of a big winner: the german app StempelUhr.
This app clocks in and out when I arrive or leave the working place. Fully automatically GPS based. You get a nice overview sorted by day, week and month of your clock in and out times.
This is exactly what I was looking for.

It seems this is a free app. Your last tip concerning iOS shortcuts could be good if the developer of StempelUhr starts to asking big money for his app.

Many thanks for that first sentence with the words "timecard and timesheet". This was the clue I needed!
