I currently use Chronosync, Time Machine, and Backblaze for backup, but as far as I know none of these options makes it super easy to automate versioned backups of a single large package file from one an external hard drive to another hard drive for safe keeping.

I use an app by ManyTricks called Usher to catalog my personal videos collection which creates a single large Usher.library file containing all of the information about the media it catalogs. I am trying to find a simple method to create a daily versioned backup of this Usher.library file. (*by 'versioned', I mean that it either deletes the oldest backup after a certain amount of days, or after a specific number of backups has been created).

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Store your personal files on an AWS, Google, or any other remote server.
This provides a much better backup solution. Your current solution will fail due to physical theft of drives, catastrophic fire, hurricane, tornado, earth quake, Vogon fleet, ect...
