Autosave issues with iCloud mail - skipping letters, typos

Hello,

Been looking for someone else that is having this issue and haven't found anything on this at all. Is anyone else having issues with iCloud while composing a message that the auto save seems to be causing letters to get missed / typos to occur. Is anyone else having this issue? I am slowly transitioning from Gmail to iCloud but this could be a deal breaker if I can't figure out how to stop these typos...

No, you are not alone! I have been having this problem for a while and cannot find any resolution. I'm at my wits end because I can't install the mail client on my MacBook Pro (it's a work computer) and am forced to use the iCloud mail interface. I usually use my iPhone, but it gets to be so painful for longer emails and I want to use my laptop. I might see if I can go to the Genius Bar for assistance at this point. I've tried different computers and networks, so I'm pretty sure it's related to my account. I'll post back if I get any further resolution.

After a lot of thinking here, I may be abandoning my icloud attempt and moving back to Gmail. This auto save issue is a major one, I called apple and their answer was try a new browser. There are a lot of other functions that icloud is fundamentally missing (can't accept a calendar invitation from anyone other than icloud!?!?!?).


Was trying to get away from the ever tightening net of google and their continued limitation of third party access to their apps, but it appears that isn't going to be possible given the limited functionality of icloud :-(

I did not have this specific problem, however, due to many of the issues you list about the lack of functionality in iCloud, I went back to Gmail and Google. I was receiving emails late, and never received an email from my son's baseball coach. I REALLY wanted to have everything in iCloud, but at this point, Google's on-line services are so much better.
