Been tracking my sleep more closely, recently, and became aware of AutoSleep.

Wondering if it's worth the one-time $6 (which is fine by me) and the added complication of Yet Another App?

Those that use, or have used it: What's your take?

What will it do for me iOS' native sleep-tracking doesn't do?

I do wear my Apple Watch to bed at night.

TIA

I use it and like it better than the built in sleep tracking. I’ve been using for longer than Apple has been doing tracking. You don’t have to set bedtime and wakeup times for Autosleep. the graphs are easy to read. Using it is not a complication. It’s automatic and you can just check it when you want to see the results.

Agreed. it is reasonable to use both at the same time. You can check the results and data presented and compare them.

I use both Autosleep and Sleep++. Autosleep is really good, but I prefer Sleep++ because it starts automatically when I fall asleep, and all the information I want to know and compare is displayed front and center once I open the app. I also love its widget.

I’ve never had to explicitly “start” Autosleep. It starts tracking automatically. Sleep++ is also good.

The app claims to do the following:
Sleep Blood Oxygen - measurements while sleeping
Temperature - track your sleep wrist temperature

Does this work on an AW S10? If so, why are the data limited to "sleeping"?

The blood oxygen sensor has been disabled in newer Watch models due to a patent dispute. The app is only reporting on events during sleep so that may be why “while sleeping”.

I am exposing my naïveté.
I know about the patient duel, yet there are AW ‘blood oxygen’ apps that charge $10 a month.
I wrongly then thought those apps other than the native Apple Health app could extract relevant data even on S9 (2024) and S10.

My understanding is that the oxygen sensors on S9/10 are inactive for Watches in the US where the patent challenge has blocked their use. Those sensors continue to work on older phones and on newer phones outside the US. If there are apps doing blood oxygen tracking, they would not work in the US for S9 or S10.
