AV Docking Cable for Ipod Touch 2G

I purchased the AV cable above and it does not work. Connecting it to my Bravia LCD 32 inch on the composite connection it simply gives 2 or 3 secs and then freezes in the ipod and hangs on the video.
When connecting it to my IKAN monitor 8000 HD on the composite in it does not give any image and the video hangs on. Any hint?

Are you connecting to the composite or component input on the Bravia? The composite cable won't work in the component input.
