iPad Air Availability?

I haven't ordered a new release Apple product on-line for a very long time. Would like to get the new Air 5 by my wife's birthday on the 23rd. If I can't do that I may wait. I usually order only from Apple or their stores.

I have not seen a tentative ship date on the Air anywhere. Will I not no the ship date until I order it?

Has anyone seen a ship date for the Air 5?

Apple.com says "Order starting at 5:00 a.m. PST on 3.11. Available starting 3.18".

Yeah, it's really hard to say. If you order on-line with store pickup, I wonder if they are still doing appointments. Last order I got went that way and the store wait time was negligible.

My Apple Store has horrible parking and always crowded. If it looks like the 23rd won't work, may have to explore other options.

That will likely be the most popular configuration. Order within the first few minutes and you should be able to secure delivery on the 18th.

Just ordered the Starlight/256GB/Wifi, expected to arrive the 18th. Also ordered an orange Smart Folio.

I ordered a Space Grey/256GB/Wi-Fi and an in-store pickup for the 18th and will take it if some Air 5's get out there in the next 7 days and have their battery life reviewed online. Otherwise, I'm going to stick with my Air 4.

It's been a while since I ordered and had things delivered from Apple .... is a signature required for an iPad? May need to prep the boss for a "personal day" on the 18th.
