average cost of having an App built?

I have an radio app idea so I wonder what it would cost to have it built from start to finish?

It really depends on how much the developer charges. It could end up costing a lot of money. It's not that hard to learn how to make the apps, do you have an experience with computer programming?

I don't have any programing skills. I think learning how to do it would take a lot of time and I may not even understand it.

I was quoted about $30K to start for a simple app. WOW!

Everyone has app ideas, you can't mention being an iPhone developer without some one giving you an app idea they have. 30k is a number that weeds out the people who don't really believe in their idea. It doesn't take much work to come up with an app idea but it takes work to make it a reality, probably more work than you realize. The person doing all the work to make the app isn't going to charge a few thousand and let you run away with all the money if it's as successful as you believe it will be.
