On average how many hours per week or month do you think most people spend on doing maintenance tasks on Windows? This would include Defrag, virus scans, spyware stuff and anyother things that Mac users don't have to deal with. Does anyone know if there has been a study on this or something?

Thanks

Personally, 0. I don't deal with it, at all. I simply installed a free av program (AVG), and don't spend one second dealing with maintenance or anything of the sort. Honestly, if you set yourself up with a good AV program from the get-go, and don't go surfing on Russian porn websites clicking on "Click here for a free virtual F*&(@!" you shouldn't have any problem. The problems with such "maintenance/viruses/etc." are really overblown from my experience.

I agree 100%. I still use a Windows machine daily and quite frankly, I spend more time dealing with reseting the PRAM and other Mac tasks then I ever do running Ad-Aware once a month on my PC, which I browse very heavily with.
