.avi ---> .mp4

Hey!
I have an .avi file (Xvid), and I would like to play it on my Apple TV. What is the best way to convert this file to .mp4, so the Apple TV will play it?

Ok. I have just downloaded it, and have the option to set the quality of the output video. Would 'high' be good enough, or would it have too be ' go nuts'?

Well it all depends im not really sure how much diffrence there is in it, as i dont use it to play shows on apple tv, i use it to convert to ipod, but i use it on go nuts most times
