Hi,

Got me an Apple TV, awesome for music, but kinda limited for movies.

So I need to go to M4V Apple movie format... And this is completely new to me...

i was wondering what is the best: going from the original DVD using HandBrake to M4V, or, could I get the same result going from the AVI version of the movie to M4V (using QuickTime Pro's export function or HandBrake).

Does this depends on the AVI "quality"?

How can I "verify" the AVI quality, and which are the "good" ones?

Regards,
Roger

You can use handbrake for AVI conversion. I've never tried VOB with handbrake though.

You can right click and get info on the AVI file and it will tell you what it is. You can also open it in Handbrake and it will tell you all the relevant information.
