Rocketing through the sky!
I have looked on some previous posts and tried some of the programs (like ffxmpeg or whatever it is called) but i still cannot play ani AVI files, I can hear the sound, but not see the video. I tried converting them to .mov files and i still hear but dont see. I dont want ot have to upgrade my quicktime ($30 is a rip for a program that SHOULD be free after i spend 2000 on my pb...) and i dont know where else to go/what to do!

This question has been asked and answered too many times to count. However, I will answer it one more time. homerjward has already given the expected VLC suggestion. You will also be expected to get a suggestion to use MPlayer. I will make the expected suggestion to download and install the DivX Fusion beta QuickTime codec. Rather than wait for someone else to do it, I will also suggest that you download and install the 3ivx QuickTime codec.
