avoid the disk unmounting during the stop

Hi there!
I'd like to know if there is a way to avoid the disk(s) unmounting when mac goes to stop (energy saving).

When the system has disks attached, those annoying messages of not having properly unmounted them appear.
Don't know if I am clear enough.

I ask because if they are plugged into a PCIe card, there's no way to avoid dismounting/remounting the drives. In a Mac Pro the PCIe cards lose power when the computer goes to sleep, so the USB ports lose power too, and then the drives disconnect.

Best you can do is suppress the notifications by third party software like Jettison. If you don't like any notifications, I suppose you could disable Notification Center altogether by setting Do Not Disturb to be constant.

If the drives are plugged into the chassis USB ports, power is maintained. These ports must stay active during sleep for things like keyboard and mouse wake.

Maybe I can change a little my question.
If the PCIe card is losing power during sleep, or for whatever other reason the external HD gets disconnected, are there any chances to mount it again, maybe using some terminal command?
I've tried to use the diskutil "mountDisk /dev/disk#" command but it gives no results.

Something must be wrong. By default they mount up automatically when the computer wakes up, within a few seconds anyway. I'm sorry, I don't know how to fix that--mine always just remounted.

Thank you @ActionableMango. I'm wondering since a while if my caldigit "plus" card is ok... I've got strange issues (for example: esata randomly disconnects hdd). I still have to upgrade the firmware because I was told by Caldigit that if I do so I can't use it back to 10.11 system (my daily working os).
