AVRCP resolved in iOS 4?

For the early adopters of iOS 4.0, do we finally get the ability to skip tracks?

It seems pointless that up until 3.1.3, we've been only able to start and stop the playback. The other buttons on my Bluetooth stereo headset are getting rather lonely and frustrated, and so am I.

Sadly no.

Along with other 1990's era features that remain missing form the iPhone (different tones for different message types for example), full implementation of the INDUSTRY STANDARD AVRCP profile is lacking in iOS 4 GM.

Jaybird has recently released a new application for iPhone that enables music track controls for iPhone. It's called JayBird BluTrax!, it's not a jail break app so it's above board, and it's available on the app store. There is a Youtube demo you can check out b4 getting it too.
