Ive just had shipment notification of the my fully loaded 11" air.

As anyone hooked theirs upto a 27" or 30" monitor with any problems....will i notice a slowdown pushing 2560x1600 res on this machine?

Also im still undecided on whether i should of gone for the 13" model or not?..With mine being a BTO is it possible to return if i wanted to?

Many thanks

At work we have huge flat screens and projectors in our conference rooms..
Since i've had my MBA, i've given a couple of presentations and it's gone on without a hitch.. If i remember correctly - i was projecting / displaying @ 1920 x 1080.. .

I also have a sony 54" bravia and my 11.6 Air connects perfectly to it.. .
I didn't notice a slowdown at all.. .

That is about 1/2 of the pixels (and hence bandwidth) of a 2560X1600 display.

OP: You will need the dual link connector to drive those bitratetes. I have one of the Apple DL cable sets and I plan to test this with my new machine once it arrives.

I have an 30" HP display that runs at 2560X1600 and the 27" iMac which is 2560 X 1440.

I think you van return it without penalty if it has not been opened. But if you have opened it there is a restocking fee of 10% or more.

has anyone developed a strategy for waiting for it to arrive? I have no nails left!

I ordered mine yesterday, full spec, quote:
3 working days, however they then say delivery between 11th and 12th November, how can that be three working days?

It's not complicated. As the Apple site indicates, it ships from China in 1 - 3 working days.

Given you ordered it on a Sunday, it will ship by Wednesday. Then another 8 - 9 days to be delivered.

My 11 was shipped from China and it took three days to make it to my home in the US.

Just to be clear, 9 days from ordering, not 9 days to ship - correct?

Shanghai, China(where the BTO's ship from) is exactly 12 hours AHEAD of Eastern Standard Time. You can figure roughly 15 hours of flying time to get to the FedEx hub in Memphis, TN. With processing time and shipping out to your location you can usually figure 7-10 days from placing your order to having your shipment. Key word, "usually."

Edit:Assuming you are in the U.S.A.

Mine came yesterday. Got some limited time playing on it after migrating everything over. That process went well. Just took some time. The MBA is peppy as hell. I think I'm going to really love it! Sweeeeeet!
