Arcade Bowling***

In the tradition of Skeeball, everyone’s favorite Boardwalk bowling game, use your fingers and steady aim to fling “laser” balls down the alley and up the ramp into the scoring holes. *The further the scoring hole is, the more points you’ll get! *Once the laser ball flies off the ramp, you can tilt your iPhone/iPod touch to actually influence the ball’s flight in midair! *Use the accelerometer to adjust your aim by tilting left and right, and adjust the ball’s speed by tilting forward and back.

Arcade Bowling features two futuristic sound tracks, state of the art iPhone 3D graphics, and two addictive game modes, Classic and Progressive! *In Classic Mode, roll up to nine balls to score as many points as you can. *In Progressive Mode, enjoy multiple levels of game play including increasingly challenging score plateaus and bonus targets.

while it looks very pretty and well designed, it also looks like it could get boring pretty quickly. Maybe if you included other boardwalk gamebooths like hit the can, shoot hoops, sniper etc in one entertainment app, you'd have a coney-island-esque winner on your hands!

i see your case, but couldn't any game get boring quickly..? haha, ishoot is the #1 app right now and i couldn't even get through one round without falling into dreadful boredom. but i guess that all has to do with preference..

I just saw that it has gotten rave reviews inlcuding "addiction" :D Wow and I thought it would be boring. and Arcade Hoops looks great too.

Now I would pay a good price if these games were combined in one "Galaxtica" Arcade game.

What about those water balloon races ... shoot water in clown's mouth - first balloon to pop wins ... is that game actually real? always wondered about that.

@arcadebowling congrats and good luck with your app

you know what would be freaking cool ... so you accumulate all these points from the various carnival games ... then you can redeem them for some prize in the mail - just like you do at a carnival ... yeah, probably not profitable for the developer, still cool though :D

At the risk of people dropping their iPhones like Wiimotes... it might be neat to have an option of 'rolling' the iPhone and using the accelerometer to throw the ball? I know there's a golf game like that, and the downside is you can't see the action and it's not something you can play on an airplane (I tried) or subway, but maybe it could be an option? I'm a big skeeball player myself, and do quite well in winning prizes for my daughter!

I *love* this game! I have a bunch of free apps on my iphone, and Arcade Bowling is the first app I've paid for. I know there's a Lite version, but the full version with the Progressive Mode is so much better. I don't think I'll ever get bored with it.

@arcadebowling: I notice in the App Store you guys say that the next update will include a Global High Score list. I'm wondering if when it becomes available and I install it, will it automatically send my current high score to your server for possible inclusion in the global list? Or will it only send high scores that I make after I install the update? Because I set a score of 38000 today, and I'm not sure if I can break that again!
