About a month ago, digging through the firmware, I've accidentally uncovered a pretty crazy easter egg that can be activated on Apple Watch Hermes Series 3, on April 1st.
Here's how it works:
- The window for invoking this easter egg is April 1st, 12AM, local time, to April 2nd, 12AM (so, one day only). There is a check in place that disallows just setting your clock to this date, so it actually has to be this date for it to work.
- Once within this time period, you have to start tapping the number 12 on the Hermes watch face, and input the morse code for "ORIGINALAPPLE".
- This is the sequence: --- .-. .. --. .. -. .- .-.. .- .--. .--. .-.. .
- Once you enter the single final tap for E, tap and keep holding on the number 12, and spin the crown upwards. The watch face will change to reveal the original Apple logo with animated rainbow, and numbers will turn into a Chicago font! Spinning the crown further, spins the logo, and changes its size.
The watch face will stay like that only for as long as you're pressing down on the number 12, so it's unfortunately not something that you can even use as a watch face for even a day. Still, it's really cool to see - if you have the Hermes Apple Watch S3.

I've made a video where you can see the end of the morse code sequence, and the watch face changing:

Haha, yes this is an April Fools joke, but it's also for real. I was always a bit ticked off that Apple has this artificial barrier from Hermes and Nike watch faces from people who don't own a particular watch, so what I've done is, I've recreated actual Hermes watch face in painstaking detail as an app that simulates everything - watch hands, date, even moonphase - all running on my normal stainless steel watch (and it can run on any aluminum model as well, of course). Then I've added an easter egg that transforms the date window into an animated old school Apple logo that can be controlled with the crown. Only thing that gives it away easily is the very tiny digital clock top right, so I've covered it with my finger.

I feel bad that I can't release the app as-is due to obvious copyright reasons, but what I plan to do is, once I clean it up and make it more generic, I should be able to release the source code for anyone with a developer account to drop in their background image of choice and logo animation of choice, and compile the app.

I'll post more videos later with the finger no longer covering anything, and showing other Hermes watch face styles (I've re-created four different styles)

Now you're just tormenting us :p

I, for one, am hoping that you release this soon! Why we can't create custom watch faces with "hands", other than Kaleidoscope, drives me nuts.
