Awesome Apps Ideas!

Hey everyone, I have great ideas that many people at my school, thought of by me, would like to see and I am going to go ahead and post the ideas!

-An instant messaging client that works without a wireless router or the internet, just connecting iPod Touch (or iPhone)'s to each other as long as they are in range of each other! Great to contact people on class trips, on the bus for fun, etc!

-A NintenDogs App! The iPod can be used to have a virtual pet and you can pet it, wash it, and even use the accelerometer to throw chew toys!

-A spin the bottle app! Funny, great for parties!

-A WiFi TV Tuner!

-A Sports App to throw your choice of a football, baseball, etc. with the accelerometer to measure your throwing distance

More to come (These are mostly my ideas for now, but I am going to add others as this goes on)!

And by WiFi TV tuner, do you mean using iPhone as a remote over wireless? Or, the ability to watch TV over Internet? That would be great.

I like this first idea. Sounds plausible.

As far as a wi-fi tv tuner goes, you can use orb if you have a windows machine (virtual or physical).

Yes, Orb can stream live TV from a computer with a tuner.

If not through wi-fi, would this be through Bluetooth then? I don't know the exact range of the iPhone's Bluetooth or whether it's just too crippled to do this.

I don't think the touch has bluetooth so that's a downside, and apple doesn't allow access to the bluetooth anyways. But aside from those two points, bluetooth would be ideal for a local chat thing.

this would be impossible to do, because to make this work you would need to make one iphone or ipod touch an ad-hov network so the other iphones or ipod touches can connect. app has put a lock on this and to make this correctly work you would want to use the jailbroken API

Oh... maybe a thing you plug into the charging port can be sold and you can buy that to connect via infrared.

Don't mean to be a douche but if an App developer is reading this they could steal your ideas.
On the positive side, some VERY good ideas.

ipod to ipod chatting wouldn't be so bad but how about being able to download and upload content from other ipod touch/iphones as well as being able to use voice chat on top of IM.

Ipod touch needs an alarm app that will allow you to wake up to tones or songs you download.

Some sort of multiplayer game would be cool that runs on the ipod to ipod wifi

hehe, the alert app can be iTouchU and it will work with the touch screen and accelerometer, when you activate it the iPod will sound an alarm, flash colors on the screen and lock itself. And the fingerprint will be recorded from touching the screen plus if you have an iPhone the phone will vibrate! I would buy that, anyone else?
