What if Apple gave you the option to move the "slide to unlock" section to the left or the right side of the iPad… that way if you're holding it with both hands, you can reach your left or right thumb over and slide the bar. It looks kinda awkward in the dead center like as if you have to set the iPad down in order to slide it comfortably.

Anyone agree? It could be an option in the settings.

that could be useful if you're holding it with both hands on the side. could you just turn it to landscape and have the slide to unlock bar sideways on one side?

Perhaps that would work if rotation lock is on. Does anyone know if the lock screen rotates with the device?

I saw some photos of the device in landscape with the "Sync In Progress" screen and it looked like the screen had rotated. I'm not sure if they were in landscape and then hit sync (as in maybe it just stays in the first orientation) or if it does actually rotate but I did see that it can display the lock screen in landscape.

I Think it does because the picture of the iPad syncing on the MR home page is showing it in landscape mode while syncing.

Lock screen rotates and its not a hassle at all to reach the "slide to unlock" as is.

Didn't think it was a hassle. Just thought it would be neat to swipe it with your thumb over on the right side so that you can swipe to unlock while holding it with 2 hands.
