I would just like to thank everyone who has posted answers on this forum, and even answered my questions even though they were sometimes dumb.

I just purchased a new MBP, and am writing this on it right now, it is amazing, no problems whatsoever that have been mentioned thoroughly in these and other forums. Thank you all very much!!!

Now if you'll excuse me i'm going back to play with my new toy :D

Thanks, from a very happy new switcher!!

yup, they are fun, just finshed editing my cruise movies from earlier this year in final cut pro, using motion for the titles, its rendering, 3hrs 50mins left for 30 minutes of film...darn HDV :D

I feel your pain...lol. I'm currently rendering an 8 minute video segment and its painful.

To the OP, congrats and welcome to the many switchers (myself included) who are currently enjoying their Macs.

I totally agree! I'm just sitting here thinking how fantastic this machine is :)

2.4GHz MBP with 4GB RAM.

Currently using iChat AV while encoding Flash video, plus running Photoshop and several other apps... my old PowerBook would've choked a long time ago and the iChat video would be stuttering. But no. Everything is running great  and I've still got 1.64GB of free RAM :D

my lap's getting kinda warm though - 82ºC CPU!!
