so, for me, black friday did not produce the super deal i was waiting for (typing this on my 2011 MacBook pro). $200 bucks off my base M4 interest was so-so. not thinking Monday will produce any surprises, unless something like free AppleCare, or a free accessory. any insights?

What specifically are you looking for hardware-wise? Apple doesn’t generally go beyond the gift card promotion so I wouldn’t expect much there.

Looks like B&H has $2-300 some of the laptop models right now, but keep an eye on SlickDeals, etc tomorrow.

After research, looks like base 14” M4 with 512 or 1 tb storage. $1400/$1600 has been best price. Shipping times have been way out.

Similar question here-- wanting to move on from 2013 MBP. Is there any reason not to go with Walmart's $599 M1 8/256 MBAir?

M2 or better gets you MagSafe which I certainly prefer… less chance of pulling the Mac off a desk & frees up a USB port.

Turning my attention to used M1 Pro versions. I keep reading how users love them and do everything they need.
