I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Using a two finger back swipe to go to previous page, the page will start to slide, then freeze and the page doesn't respond to anything. Resetting PRAM fixes it, but it always comes back.

I had a 2015 rMBP and it would do this occasionally, maybe once every couple months, but I just got a 2016 non-TB MBP and started it fresh as a new computer and have had to reset PRAM at least five times in the past week to fix this. The only extensions I have are an ad blocker (wipr) and RES. Before that I used ublock and RES and experienced the same thing.

I've had this issue appear on my 2012 15" cMBP and 2015 13" rMBP as well, on both El Capitan and Sierra, so I think it's a Safari or macOS issue rather than an issue specific to the 2016 MBP.

It seems that you can get Safari to start responding again by Cmd-Tabbing out to a different app then Cmd-Tabbing back, but getting the gesture to start working properly again usually requires a restart for me.

I have got this issue for very long time. do you have an app called Jitouch installed? if so, a clean uninstall will fix the problem (some other forum says jitouch or some gesture app like bettertouchtool became incompatible since 10.9 mavericks).
