Recently bought a MBA during the promo, got the edu discount plus $150 gift card and did the monthly installments which I believe was the requirement. However, I have two monthly installments one for the MBA and one for gift card.

Why am I paying back a gift card???

The reduced the Mac price by another $150 (on top of school discount), and moved the $150 to be on the card, but total payment for everything is the same as if you didn't buy the card and only bought the Mac, so you still got an extra $150 back as a card.

Mac = $xx.xx school price

Mac + Card = [Mac school price $xx.xx (-) $150 extra discount] + $150 card = $xx.xx school price

As the person above posted, this is how it works. It did the same thing when I ordered mine. They just do it a weird way on the installments so it’s confusing.

Thanks for the replies. I tried to read the fine print before I ordered and it made sense at the time but then it didn't ha. Clear as mud now.
