so, appshopper showed me there was a 1.0.3 update for backdrops you know the interfacelift.com's application.. well first it said i couldnt update then it said i didnt buy this when i know i did, then i went to interfacelift.com/iphone and clicked their link then it said this app isnt available in the US iTunes store.. and now its not even in the appstore at all.. what the hell?

i dont understand how i got right aligned LOL.

the app is great tho, really worth the $1.99 pricepoint seeing as you get new wallpapers everyday

i do know that 1.0.3 update was just released today maybe it got retracted for some sort of error? because appshopper.com showed me there was an update out for it but now it seems the entire app its gone the only thing tht comes up is "backgrounds" which is not the same thing.

You click the right alignment selection in the composition window.

There's center as well.

Meanwhile, on topic, I wonder if they had some copyright infringement complaints. There certainly was a lot of copyrighted material appearing on there that I'm sure wasn't being paid for.

none of that material was copyright infringed.. because the authors (photo takers) are the ones who uploaded to the site in the first place..

I remember having an email convo with one of the devs of the backdrops app and we were discussing how there is a bug in the iPhone SDK that reduces the resolution of images when saved to the camera roll from the app. Maybe this new update to the iPhone SDK resolved that bug so they pulled it in order to fix it.

I don't believe that for a minute. You can't tell me that a commercial photo of Angelina Jolie or dozens of movie stills/promotional images from Twilight were uploaded by the photographers. If you look at their webpage there isn't any ability for anyone to sign up to be a contributor and the log in page link errors to a non-existent web address. Their Flickr account contains about 20 pictures.

we must be looking at 2 different sites, ive personally never seen a celebrity picture on interfacelift, and no random person can just upload images, you have to provide a certain resolution size for it to be approved onto the site..

Sorry about that. I was referring to the "Backgrounds" application not Backdrops. I hadn't noticed the difference in the name. Honestly, I didn't know Interfacelift even had an application. Backgrounds has been around a lot longer. That app if full of copyrighted material.
