I have Backgrounder and Proswitcher installed on my iPhone 3GS. It seems to run perfectly at first, but there are times when Backgrounder will get stuck on a certain application and I can't back to my home screen. It seems to happen after my iPhone autolocks in a certain app and then I get a text message.

I am almost positive that it is a problem with Backgrounder because I have uninstalled Proswitcher and the problem persists.

Anyone else have this problem and if so how did you fix it? I have uninstalled and reinstalled Backgrounder and Proswitcher multiple times.

Thanks

Seriously?!?! I'm on a 3GS and other people are using Backgrounder on the 3G just fine. Also, rebooting the iPhone is not a good solution in my case because there is no untethered jailbreak for the 3GS yet.

Yes, seriously. You are doing to many things at the same time and everything goes "om nom, nom, nom, nom" on the memory. Other 3G users have it fine because they watch what they do or reboot to clear out memory.

Try to get near a computer and reboot. Seriously, that's the first easy fix.

well that kinda sucks. any apps to let me know how much memory i've used?

Do you have SBSettings installed? It's a nice utility screen that lets you use a lot of toggles (wifi on/off, bluetooth, ssh, etc) and tells you the available memory at the bottom. You can also close processes and free up memory.

Highly recommended.
