I had no problem installing it from Cydia, but i can't enable it to work. It isn't working for any apps or anything. Any help is appreciated.

:D Can anyone confirm that it's not noticeably worse than 2.1.1? @ashikase warned it was buggy on Twitter with no optional features (does that mean no auto backgrounding, or just nothing new)?

Hopefully I can finally upgrade now, yay!

The developer thinks he can get auto and other options working but has just pushed this version out to keep us going.

He said this on 23 June:

Honestly, yes, it's getting a bit... annoying, especially since I don't have time to
work on it now (my jobs come first).

Backgrounder basically modifies SpringBoard; in 3.0, many of the methods that
Backgrounder modifies have changed. As a result, most of the features of Backgrounder
are currently broken (a few, perhaps, permanently).

Basic backgrounding *appears* to work... I say appears, as I have not had much of a
chance to test it. I am considering releasing a 3.0-compatible version with only the
basic functionality enabled, i.e. hold the home button and the app backgrounds (no
task list, no badges, no double tap, etc).

Even if I release this "lite" version, it will not happen for *at least* a week.
Please, have patience. And quit posting :)

So his 'lite' version has come earlier than expected - maybe a more fully featured one will follow shortly? Fingers crossed.
