The newest version should have an icon on the app that is currently running. It should look like the spinning loading wheel.

If you have OS 2.XX then yes but for OS 3.XX Backgrounder is not as compatible and only runs the programs in the background, there is no icons or anything like before. The developers are working on it.

Can you please tell me how you got this? Thanks!

how he got what? Download "backgrounder" from cydia then "sbsettings".

you can use sbsettings to manage how many apps you have running at the same time thru backgrounder as well as many other useful toggles/tweaks. slide your finger across the top of your screen to access sbsettings

We're talking about using sbssettings then tapping processes right? I don't know of another way to show what's running.

Yeah I'd love for them to get the icon-overlay working for Backgrounder. I sometimes forget if I've got an app enabled for backgrounding or not and end up quitting it by mistake. Great application though. It's the #1 reason I jailbroke and works really well.

It works with backgrounder? Or is it a completely different backgrounding app?

Edit: saw your video about mquickdo. Maybe I just don't "get it", but to me it seems superfluous. SBSettings has a task manager and is accessible from any app to see the backgrounded apps.

Yes, it works with backgrounder but you do not need backgrounder to use it. SBsettings does have a task manager but there is no easy way for you to switch between apps, launch favorite apps and do the other commands that mQuickDo lets you do.
