Hi All

I currently have a Mac Pro with an LG Blu-Ray writer aswell as Toast 10 with HD Plug-in and have downloaded MakeMKV. I would like to back up my Blu-Ray movies so I have copy on disc I dont have to worry about getting damaged. Do I have everything I need ? If so could some please advise the process to back up a Blu-Ray Movie.

Many Thanks

You'll probably need Toast to burn to the Blu-ray discs.

Are you wanting to make these playable on conventional Blu-ray players? That could be rather tricky.

Hi Cavemn

Yes i was hoping to play them on a Blu-Ray player. A friend does this in windows but was hoping not to go this route. I already have toast 10 and the HD Plugin

If you just want to play off the discs, download Make MKV and VLC. You use Make MKV to decrypt the disc and then start its built-in streaming server. You then open that link in VLC and you get Blu-ray playback off the disc. It's a bit complicated at the moment because it's so new, but look for a streamlined procedure in the coming weeks.

Details are here.
