Hi,
I got the new 15in powerbook (woohoo.. and it's great!!!!)
Now I want to make back-up copies of some of my DVDs.
If I'm not mistaken, this pb can burn dual layer, right?
Any guidance on how to make a copy of a DVD? Do I just use mac the ripper and then iDVD? Is it as simple as this???!!!
Also, any suggestions on good brands for blanc dual layer DVDs (and where to get them)?
Thanks!!
DB

Can help you with the first bit, i use to use a program called DVDbackup to rip my DVDs onto my HDD then use DVD player to watch them on the train/plane without having to carry the DVD and case around with me, but some update stopped DVD player from playing Video_TS files so that doesn't work anymore. The burning bit you can figure out what (commercial) software you need for yourself.

Must warn you though that people here are likely to take a dim view of copying DVDs because of copyright issues and the fact that for all we know you could just want to sell pirated disks. Personally im a very trusting soul but just warning you.

about the dual layer drive, if your PB is the latest revision then it does, otherwise it'll probably only be single layer
