backing up GTA: San Andreas save games onto hdd?

so i want to restore my macbook pro. the only thing holding me back is the fact that i can't or can't seem to find how to back up saved games so that it will not get deleted once i do a system restore. i searched for any folders marked san andreas but nothing shows. ... does any one know how to back it up?.. i really don't want to loose all my game saves b/c i've had this game on ps2 and xbox and still have not beaten it!!! hopefully i'll complete all the missions on my mac

Look in the Documents folder. I think there should be a 'Grand Theft Auto User Files' folder which will have your save games.

If not there, try going to ~/Libarary/Application Support/Grand Theft Auto San Andreas preferences folder and look there.
