ever since i downloaded 2.0, every time i sync my iphone, itunes says,"backing up iphone," and this takes like 10 minutes!!!! i dont need to create a new backup everyday? i just wanna sync my new stuff? help????

im not sure what all it is backing up, but it does take a good deal longer. It doesnt happen every time i sync though, so IDK...

Yeah, I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out, too. I thought there might be a new setting for automatically backing up, but no.

I also noticed that if you cancel the backup (click the x in iTunes status), the sync proceeds normally. Then, while the iPhone is still connected if you manually sync, it doesn't try backing up again no matter how many times you do it.

I've been having the same problem... It takes at least 20-30 minutes for mine to back up when all I want to do is add one app!! I'll try clicking the 'x' when its backing up and see if that works for me.
