I have ditched my Airport Extreme and am looking for the best option for backing up (via Time Machine) my iMac and MacBook pro.

Can you recommend specific devices I should consider, preferable least expensive yet reliable? I've used the Airport for so long as my wireless router and for backup that I'm not sure the best option from here.

Thanks in advance.

I would use a different drive for each device. Ideally, you want the backup drive to be at least 2.5 times the size of the drive on each device.

A Western Digital external drive would work well for TimeMachine backups.

For my MacBook Pro, I really don't want to have to plug it in. Do you have recommendations for something wireless?
