Backing up my MacBook

What would be the best way to backup the HDD on my new MacBook? If possible i'd like to copy the entire HDD to another machine. I have a Windows machine that i use as a media box, and therefore it has a lot of HDD space. Would i be able to backup the Mac to the Windows PC? If so, how would i go about this? Or is there a better way?

If you share out a drive on that machine and mount it via SMB then Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper could probably back up to it but it will probably take ages as network copies are not all that fast.

A better solution is an external (Firewire or USB2.0) harddrive and one of the above apps. Personally I prefer SuperDuper but CCC has a lot of fans too.

Can't they do an incramental style backup? Meaning it'll only take ages the first time. If they do then i could at least save a bit of money!

SuperDuper can if you pay for it (the free version can't) but even sending all the information about when a file was last changed will take a while.
