Backing up Wallet Data

Lost iPhone last night...
While waiting for my replacement, I figuered I'd call Apple. Over the hold times and multiple reps that needed to do the circle dance, senior advisor is telling my I'm SOL.

I had 3 Apple Store Cards, with a total of about $1200.
I KNOW credit cards are not back up in Wallet.

I've yet to do a restore, but sofar Apple has advised, the Apple Store cards with monetary value on them, they don't get backed up.

Anyone can confirm or heresay ?

Well I can't confirm nor deny but if a senior advisor with Apple was telling me something, I'd be inclined to believe it.

The thing is, she didn't know the answer off the cuff. So she had me on hold, was talking to iTunes support, etc, etc. Sounded like she gave me the answer via just searching their knowledge base and whatever the docs say..
