backing up

hey guys,

what program would you recommend for me to use in order to backup my mac to an external hard drive that's formatted as fat32.

the hard drive is networked and is connected to the usb port of my airport extreme. i would like to retain all the files currently on the drive, so i don't want to format it. I would prefer to not have to create a HFS+ partition, but if i dont have any options, that's what I'll do (I'll need some pointers on how to go about doing that to a network drive if that's the only solution).

and oh yeah, a free program is always preferred

Super Duper is very good. works well and its free.

ive tried super duper before but i had trouble getting it to work on a networked drive, and i somehow corrupted my external hard drive after i tinkered with some options. im not sure if i just didnt pay enough attention or if super duper just has some limitations with external networked fat32 drives. any ideas?

Carbon Copy Cloner (ccc) is good as well.

Prefer it over SuperDuper.

darn i wish in knew about super duper before i reformated my ex-hd

superduper is a nice program, but from what i can tell, it cant back up over a network. you have to back up to a disk image. that would be fine except theres more used space on my local disk than there is free space.

also, is it possible to transfer a file greater than 4gb from my mac to a networked fat32 drive?
