Backlit keyboard issue in Lion

My backlit keyboard isn't working with the regular controls (F8-F10 keys) in Lion however, when I use Apps such as LabTick it work like a charm.

Is there something wrong with my settings as I don't see others complaining about the same. I am on a Late 2006 C2D 17" MBP.

BTW same keys work fine under the SL partition..

PS: I have searched forums already and even google doesn't seem to help with this particular issues (all I get is a fix in SL).

I'm having the same problem with the latest DP4 version of Lion following the update (MacBook Pro 13" 2010).

This issue has been noted in the Developer Forums and reported as a bug, so a fix will surely arrive with the GM version.

I have a 2011 MBP 13" and the keyboard works just fine. i installed D4 yesterday and haven't had any problems.

Working now ......

works after the GM release install.....
