Hi MacRumors,

Any backpack recommendations? Post what you got and maybe a small description of why you like it. Now that I have a $3000+ laptop I’d like to keep it safe (I personally don’t like cases, but do like padded backpacks).

Whatever backpack you buy...
... Make sure that when you have it "packed" that there won't be too much pressure against the MacBook stored inside. It could possibly damage the display, or get keyboard marks on the display, etc.

Never owned a backpack, no use for 'em. But then, I'm old, and backpacks seem to be a "younger person thing..."

I’m presuming by now that the original poster has resolved their need and choice. But I like the Tom Bihn Synik 30. Pricy but very practical design and great quality.

The backpack I have is the Thule EnRoute Escort 2 Daypack with the Rugged Armor Pro Pouch from Spigen.

Im after a backpack for my 14", the ideal one would be something that doesn't look too dorky, with a protective slot for the Mac so it won't get crushed and segments inside for dongles, studio headphones and a mouse.
