I rebuilt my computer the other day.

As all of my music won't fit on my iPod, and there were no extra HD's floating around, and since I'm a .Mac member, I downloaded backup and backed-up my music to DVD.

I rebuild, re-install, to a clean 10.3.9, and pop in disc 1 of "music - 11/05/05". I get a message from backup that says "this is not a valid restore disc". I say, "Excuse me? I just backed up this music using this same program. The disc was even titled automatically by you. The icon that comes up has a little umbrella. What do you mean this isn't a valid restore disc!?"

So I've got 22 gigs of music trapped on six DVD's. I'm taking them into my local Apple store this Saturday to say, "WTF?" but I thought I'd ask around here first to see if anyone had any ideas.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Have you tried applying the same level of software updates to bring your machine back to where it was before you reformatted it?
