Hi, can you advise if possible to backup iOS device with iTunes or another third party app on Sierra 10.12.6? I tried but itunes says "I don't have permissions" which doesn't make sense. I also tried iMazing, it didn't work either, same message of "no permissions".
Tnx!

With iTunes on Sierra 10.12.6, there does not seem to be a way to do a manual backup to the computer. The [Sync] button does the backup. I am using iOS 15.3 on my 13 Pro Max.

Check your iTunes version. iPhone 13 tech specs say 12.8 is needed (Aka that's what iOS 15 needs).

  • macOS El Capitan 10.11.6 through macOS Mojave 10.14.6 using iTunes 12.8 or later

oh this is great, tnx! will try it. but it says in "system requirements" it needs "macOS version 10.11.4 or later" which should cover 10.12 but then under the fist paragraph I also see: 10.11 and 10.12 users download iTunes 12.8.2 here. it's a bit strange?...
