I notice I have the option to backup via iTunes hardwired as before and also through the iCloud. What are the main differences other then wireless? Also can you do both?

yeah you can do both. I'm doing the local backup because everyone is complaining of the backups taking too much iCloud space. i just synced wirelessly and it still did the backup on my iMac

I guess the next question would be. If you do one, I assume that is the only one that updates. You would have to switch to local each time you plug in the phone to your computer?
