backup put into effect?

i just clicked the update button on my ipod touch 3g 32gb. i backed it up beforehand, and i am wondering if i will get the same data back on all my apps afterwards. i am 13, so keeping my game data is very important to me. any thoughts on the outcome? will i still get all my data?

Your game data should be just fine after you update.

Yes, if you update to iOS 5 from the update button everything will be as it was before.

If you manually restore, then you just need to be sure to have done a backup prior to restoring.

thanks guys. i just finished setting up and everything is fine. i only really cared about losing infinity blade, which went fine. ios5 is boss.
