Ok , so tonight I was trying to backup all my photos and purchased music to cd-rw tonight and it told me it would take five Cd's or 1 DVD. I chose the Cd route since I had many CD-rw and no DVD's on hand. I started and the first two went fine, then the third one it spit out saying it had to be the exact same type of CD as the first ones...frustrating!!!!! All the discs were of the same size and all were CD-RW. in fact, the first two were imations, and the third one it spit out was an imation disc, but had a different logo on the label so a different run of discs. \

Is there any work around...I don't want to have to go through burning again if I could even find more of the same! Any ideas.

Just out of curiosity . . . .

Did you try to format all of these disks on your mac before burning them . . . . (probably a silly question since they are RWs and you have probably used them before)

Not silly, but Yes, I did reformat them...I had used all of them before and erased all of them using disk utility quick erase...but the first two worked fine...problems when they were different discs. Don't remember if any other erase option was even there though.
