Hey all, the ridiculously long backup that occurs every time I dock my iPhone seems to still be happening after updating to 2.0.2

I heard reports of people saying that backup is significantly shorter after 2.0.1

You'd think that Apple would implement an incremental backup system similar to Time Machine: One long backup and then smaller backups of the changes since the last backup.

I'm wondering: should I wipe my iPhone clean and install 2.0.2 again?

Same here after the newest update 2.0.2,my backups are still long. This really sucks. Why don't they have itunes just backup any changes to the phones system not the entire software!

I experienced the same issues, but I resolved it by 1. letting a full backup run (even though it could take several hours) and then 2. going in and deleting any old backups.

Here's where I found it: http://www.iphoneatlas.com/2008/07/18/iphone-backup-process-extremely-slow-corruption-issues/

Thanks for the link. I'm trying it now.

I deleted the backup, now I'm doing a full backup (taking forever of course), then I'll follow the instructions and report back.
