The connection between my new 80GB iPod classic and the dock connector plug is bad. It often looses the connection to the computer and I get the "didn't properly eject" error. It seems that it works best when I insert the dock connector into the iPod but then keep tension on it by pulling out. The problem is this is not something I can do for a long time. I returned my last iPod classic one month ago for this exact same problem! Now the replacement is doing the same thing! Is this a common problem? Any advice?

I've tried it with a different dock connector USB cord and different ipod and the problem tracks with the ipod not the cord.
