Hi I used to like Apple Music. I then skipped over to Spotify and now I’m back to apple.
I’m that time it seems the apple playlists are horrible, mostly always trying to play Coldplay or other commercial crappy music.
Horrible selections. I did go through setting it up for my taste, it keeps spitting out junk though.

Also apple news feeds are the same, always a click bait title really poor taste type articles, “why couples are cheating” “how to know if you have adhd” etc anyway to get decent music and actual news?

Just go through your library and ❤️ the songs you like. It should curate auffingt to that. Although I also never use these playlists as they are mostly trash for me, too.

"Free" news aggregators are all a pile of crap these days because the vast majority of valid news organizations have a paywall…as they should. Aggregators now just collect articles from junky blog sites (some of them have the look of a real news site) with "articles" of rehashed, old information written by click-bait creators that have no interest in actually doing any research.

I used to enjoy the Zite app. After it got purchased by Flipboard I watched as Flipboard quality fell to the forces I describe above. I finally deleted Flipboard when every third article was about how someone looked in their swimsuit.

Apple's News+ is $10/month and I assume you aren't paying. It seems like a pretty good deal considering all the sources one can access. I don't subscribe to it myself…I'm in Baltimore and already pay $60/year for The Washington Post.
