No it does not have 4 sockets (WHERE on earth did you get that information?)

The Santa Rosa MBP has 2 SODIMM sockets. It comes with 2 x 1 Gb SODIMMs for 2 Gb total. It is upgradeable to 4 Gb total RAM, with 2 x 2 Gb SODIMMs replacing the 2 x 1 Gb that is there stock.
