Can any one please help me with this,
I got an iPad3 and seems like at least 2 out of every 5 youtube videos wont work, AT LEAST!

1-I say my prayers before opening a video. I either get an error that says "cannot open" or something like "network connection lost". I am not sure why this is happening. I heard once that its because no HTML5 version of this video, but at this rate its like 50% of youtube has no html5 which doesnt sound right.

2-I view all my videos in low quality, or 240p I guess. If I take out the "HQ" I the full video would load and its smooth play fully loaded video, but if I keep the "HQ" or use the terrible Youtube app The video would painfully load, like its almost unwatchable . You might say its due to internet speed, but videos are great on the laptop using same internet connection.

To be honest I am thinking of picking an Android instead of iPhone5 because of this, as Youtube is very vital in my personal use, and I heard very very positive experience from S3 users(who switched from iPhone 4/4s)

Quite a lot of videos through the app dont load for me either.

I have to go back and touch the video again and then it loads. I have no idea why, it only started doing it recently and afaik there have been no youtube app updates. I'm pretty sure the app is just a wrapper to a web hosted ipad optimized site so perhaps google are messing around with the code.

As for the slow loading. Well, this happens occasionally. Youtube is a beast and sometimes when you connect to part of their cloud computing you can hit an oversubscribed node. Nothing you can really do about that.

It really wouldn't surprise me if google allocate less resources and/or features for their ipad connected users which contribute to these problems. Haven't stopped them in the past, take google maps for example, they provide the app but at reduced functionality to make their android product look better.

If this is the case I will seriously consider Android as my next phone.
Youtube is a very vital part of the internet with almost no real competitors(very weird after 7 years of launch) .

This is like saying Google search doesnt work well with iPhones. its not like I can just start using Bing or Yahoo. Actually, its worse, since you CAN use Bing or Yahoo as a weaker alternative while your best bet after Youtube is Vimeo which I would say does not have 5% of Youtube's content.

The built in YouTube app isn't very good.

use the YouTube website in Safari.

Even if it is a vital part of your life, it should not be the number reason to switch to android when you have the website with all the same features that Android has right there, is it?

I do use the website on chrome and on Safari.
I hate how the iPad forces me to use the app everytime.

but using the site is not a smooth experience. I heard youtube is way better on Android. But that is just what I heard from X iphone users.

Maybe am android phone user can comment
