Bad_Network_Name, oh, and a big hello to you all

Hello to everyone on MacRumors. I have been browsing, reading and enjoying all your mac related comments. It is here I discovered it was possible to 'switch' and have now got myself an iBook. I love it.

I still have my windows desktop and am trying to print accross my wifi on a printer connected to the pc. My Mac recognises the printer but at the print stage it says NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME and will not print. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem?

Hey Rob,

I haven't encountered this problem but looking solely at the error message this may be worth a try.

Go to system preferences on the mac, then sharing and checking what it currently says then try changing it to something simple like 'ibook' or etc. (without spaces or strange characters that may be causing problems)

Still a problem

I have changed my name to ibook and am still getting the same message. Thanks for the help so far, but can anyone else point me in the right direction?
