I have an iPhone 4S. The new mail badge does not clear even if I already read the email on my computer. The badge persists even if I open the app and press the refresh button. FYI, the email account in question is a microsoft exchange account (work mail) with Fetch enabled. (I set it to Fetch to conserve battery since I Push my personal gmail).
i tried switching to fetch, and back to push, with no avail. restarting the iphone also had no effect.
So basically I have a situation where my work Inbox says "1 unread message" and my iPhone badge is stuck on "4 unread messages."
