iPhone Badges not showing in Mail App

Hi there,

anyone else having problems with badges ( red numbers over the app showing how many new mails you have ) for the mail app?

when I receive a new mail there is no badge. I tried everything from turning badges off and on, deleting my mail account in the app and adding it again to even resetting my phone from a backup but nothing.

anyone found a solution or do I just have to wait for a fix?

Not just you. I have the same issue. If I pulled down and refresh my messages the badge icon comes back, but very inconsistent. Hopefully fixed in 13.1.

ok thank you.
just got an email and suddenly the badge showed up - got another email afterwards and no badge again.
Very random. Also found a Post in the official iOS forum.
Let’s hope it gets fixed, very annoying
 
Mail in iOS 13 doesn't work well. This is known, has been the case since the first beta, and Apple are fully aware but for some reason released it for all phones anyway.

It's much better in 13.1 - anyone still on 12 I don't recommend upgrading until 13.1 comes out next week.
 
Badge shows if email comes in while phone is unlocked. No badge if it was locked. This seems to be the logic.

Mail is my most important app and it sucks.
